The holidays can set a keen focus on our relationships as we come together with family and friends. Most of us seek happiness in our relationships. But happiness can only be found from within, arising from our own peace of mind. Consequently, we can expect too much from our relationships and, instead of the happiness and harmony we long for; we experience anxiety, disappointment and frustration.
Rather than seeking happiness in our relationships then, we should focus instead on bringing happiness to our relationships - and to every facet of our life. The inner confidence that arises from this approach enables us to use even our difficulties as the means to grow and progress towards a more lasting experience of happiness.
